Question Intercooler Reservoir

Does anyone have any information on vortec superchargers rectangular battery tray intercooler reservoir, like the ones for mustangs. I would like to know the size, inlet and outlet locations, baffled or not, and where I could possibly get one. Thanks.

I'm running one in my truck. It's a regular Vortech part for the later Mustangs.

I mounted mine in the engine compartment where the tank for the windshield washer mounted. It's a tight fit, but it will work if you move the battery back a little (about 3/4").

The inlet and outlet are 3/4" so you will have to make an adaptor for the IC return line (5/8"). They are located on the side that faces the battery.

It's a tight fit, but it will go in there.

I know it works. I can melt 7-8 lbs of ice in one 1/4 mile pass.

So it's the same size or a little smaller then the stock battery dimensions wise? Thanks!

Do you have a part number, or a place that it can be ordered from?

Thanks.

The positives for me are that I just relocated my battery and would like to relocate my IC reservoir to where the battery was to clean up the engine compartment. Also, I do believe it has a greater holding capacity then the stock one. As far as ordering one I have found them on vortec superchargers main web-site and a company named CAPA web-site.

Sounds great Rocket. I was thinking of moving my battery to the back also but did not want a big space where it used to be. Your plan sounds just the ticket.

I did my relocate almost exactly like Tim Skelton did. I frabicated the battery box, the mounting plate for the disconnect switch and exterior terminals behind the license plate, and ran all the wires. I also moved that bracket that is mounted directly below the solenoid over closer to the ECU plug. What a pain in the A$$. It took me forever to finish, but I think it was worth it. I just want to get alot of the clutter off of the engine or out of the way. So, I thought this tank would look good where the battery was.

I got a JL power cooler from free from a buddy(yes I have one)

I am having it modified, removing the coil inside, relocating the inlets and having a small little tank welded under it so I will still have a small windshield washer resevour
