Cheap Eagle F1s?

Ok, its now time for me to get some tires for the back of the L. I done baked the rears in 9k miles. I guess they dont hold up well the racing and hard street driving (real hard and I knew it was going to kill them).

Anyways, I am looking for some good deals on the Goodyears. I only want to buy 2 since the fronts are in great shape. Tire rack has the for $196. Any better deals out there?

yup, 9000 miles. not bald, but not much tread left. They get lit up atleast 3 times a day. I have only smoked them at the track. Most of the time on the street I just light em up quick and let off, but its enough to do the damage. Im just cant help myself.

By the time you pay shipping and all that wouldn't it be cheaper just to find somewhere in your town?

Discount tire has always treated me well. Especialy the road hazard warranty. I have gotten nails in the sidewall and had uneven wear and still gotten a replacement tire.

When it comes to tires I would rather get them from a local store in case there are issues.

I ounce got a great deal on 4 Goodyears from a friend who worked for them. I had problems with them two different times and had to pay full price to get a replacement so I ended up being in the hole money wise.

I'm with EZGZ on this one....

America's Tire Store (they also own Discount Tires) is awesome. They have F1s for 225 each but that price includes everything, stems, balancing, etc. plus that price included the raod hazzard replacement. I never used to think that was important until I bought my L Twice I got nails and needed tires replaced. Twice new tires no charge. And, their service is great....

Also, they will meet any price.

Where do you live? I got (4) F1's mounted and balanced, out the door for $780 at Jimmy's Tires in San Clemente (Orange County, California). He is a super nice guy and I won't buy tires anywhere else ever again. I think his prices are so low because he doesn't have alot of overhead to pay for like the big tire stores. Good Luck.

I live in Michigan. Central Michigan to be exact. I have checked prices local and they are outrageous. If I was buying a set of 4 then I would consider the road hazard coverage from discount, but only buying two, I dont care about it. Also, if I was buying 4 tires I would switch to either the Toyo Proxy or the Hankook (only $150 each online!). Both have higher tread wear ratings. Yes I know high wear ratings come at the cost of traction, but thats what slicks are for.

I did find a place that had F1s for $188. If anyone wants to know where, just ask.

central Michigan????

Go to Discount or Bell tire..
If you are really cheap, go over to Canada and buy the tires over there, the exchange rate works in our favor (not for much longer at this rate)

Where in Michigan?
I live in Howell (soon to be Bay City) and go to school in Lansing.

i know you just intend to buy 2, but don't most places offer that buy 3 get 1 free thing where you are at?

In either case, if you would rather have the toyos or hancooks, why not just buy em. History will repeat itself and you'll wear the backs out before the front and then you cn use the f1's that you have up front and replace the rear tires when the time comes.
