Brembo kit weights?
Brembo kit weights?
Anyone know how much the Brembo 14" and 15" kits weigh?
I'd like the 8-piston 15", but I'm worried about the additional weight.
For that matter, anyone know what the stock brakes weigh?

Calipers are quite a bit lighter, ~7 lbs versus ~12 pounds for the stock calipers, but the larger discs are definitely heavier. The AP 6 piston setup I have was about a 2# weight HIT(per side) if I remember right (bathroom scale accuracy). Rotor/caliper size and weight is about the same for the Brembo.
15" would be good for bling factor only, IMHO. Plus the rotors and pads will be spendy(even more so than the 14").

I think when I weighed mine they weighed the same as the stock system. I had the 14" kit. Infact the 4 piston 14" kit weighs approximately 41 pounds with pads, bearings and seals.

I weighed the 4-pistion (F40 GT kit) as I installed it. The calipers and mounts weigh 12 pounds, as opposed to the stock 17 lbs. The rotors, however, are 27 lbs. versus the stock 24, so the net weight savings is only 2 lbs. per side.
