Grr check engine light (lean)?

I cleaned my IC and changed my plugs Sunday.

I drove it about 10 miles on Sunday, then to work Monday (30 miles). The truck sat in my garage on Tuesday and Wednesday. I drove it to work this morning (15miles) and then to lunch.

While at lunch the SES light came on. I pulled the codes and it came back bank 1 and bank 2 lean

The truck runs fine and has no vacum leaks as far as I can tell. It pulls 20 inches of vacum and has 32psi of fuel pressure at idle and 50 or so under boost.

Any ideas guys?

I was going to install the 6lber tonight but now im hesitant.

Bob

BTW - Its an 03L with following :

Air filter kit
cat back
breather cap - was told wont affect the 03's?
tr6's
PCV mod with dime

Breather Cap

Very, very likely the breather cap.

I would say the breather cap.

When I put colder plugs and 170 thermostat in my truck before I could get a chance to put my 4 pound lower on it was throwing a rich bank 1 & 2 code on me.

Lightbulb

Put the stock breather cap back on and remove negative battery cable for a short time to get rid of the code unless you have a code reader that can remove it.

Its been running for a good bit and no lights. I have started it and shut it off a few times. I will put the stock oil cap back on it till I get my predator custom tune for it.

Its still running perfectly so it must be the breather cap

I had this happen to me even though I had an after market breather as many do and chip was burned for. Reset the code and put my stock breather back, per Jim at JDM, and never happened again.

Dunno.... go figure.

I hope it resolves your problem completely.

Well it looks like it was the breather cap, the truck has been driven over 120 miles this weekend with multiple key / drive cycles.

No more light...
