Cherry Wet Wax-- Product Review

Hey All
I finally got some Cherry Wet as per others on this site
I had some time this week so I tried it out. I can Honestly say the stuff works like it says it supposed to. I also used some swirl remover (swirless) and to my amazement it worked better than any product I have ever used. I did use a machine (orbital 4400-OPM)
I will see how long it lasts but seems like a winner to me
If I had a Dig cam I would post pics like our buddy Rob but it is easier to just do it yourself and you'll see.
Oops I almost forgot I didn't use the machine to remove the wax just the swrilless and used Microfiber towles to remove the wax after being applied by machine
If you don't have microfiber towels you should it makes a world of differance I have been using them for years. you can remove the wax from your truck with one towel in like half the time
The last note I don't know if he is a vendor here but
Rick from WWW.Coatsproducts.com is the man he hooked me up with the goods and also threw in some freebies. Rick if you reading this thanks and I need to order some other stuff now that the cleaning virus has spread to some of my buddies
Thanks
Slick -Craig

Have to agree with you . . .

I used the Cherry Wet Wax as a top coat on the wife's silver Grand Marques. Put it on after wash/clay/wash/Megs 6/Megs 26. The car looked really good but the Cherry Wet really made the color pop!

The Cherry Wet did not do so well on my Island Blue truck. Have Megs NXT on hand but no time to try it. I've heard that it works well on the dark colors.

Cherry wet works the best when applied in the sun, and removed in the sun. I would highly recommend doing it all by hand, and you will notice a big difference. Use the up and down strokes on the side, and the front to back on the top surfaces. Doing it the other way will still leave you with some swirls.
Good stuff!!! And it is made for the darker colors - they respond the best to it especially applied inthe heat, and out in the sun!

I use it on my truck...it works well but its nothing special IMO. Im just trying to use up the rest of the quart I have left. I have used over 30 brands...and they fall somewhere in the middle. I think Im going to switch back to Liquid Glass soon here... you can get it at auto zone...and its definitly in the top 5 or so that I have used.

How does Cherry Wet compare to Zaino? I just ordered the Zaino product based upon what I have read here. Has anyone tried both?

Slick...

Your right about the CWW and Rick at Coats. The wax is good stuff and Rick knows how to run a business. He always throws a couple of "free" goodies in the box. I still have half a gallon of CWW sitting in the garage. I'm thinking about putting a coat of it on top of my latest discovery.

I recently tried the new product from Mequires called NXT. All I can say is...WOW. The NXT goes on easy and comes off easy. The end result is incredible.

Konig...if you like Liquid Wax I think you would really like this new NXT product.

Miracle Mist from Coats is great stuff also.

Cherry Wet Wax is a decent wax and performs pretty well, but their are better options out there. One of the complaints I have is that they charge so much for shipping, making the product a little on the high side. I've been using S100 which is available from Harley Davidson shops and it is some of the best wax I have used. It runs about $15.00 for a jar, and a little goes a long ways. It's strictly a wax and contains no cleaners, so the surface will have to be prepped with a polish first. I recently experimented with the new Meguiars NXT and have been pleased with the results so far, but it's only been on for a week or two.

As far as a quick detailer goes, I would highly recommend Meguiars Final Detail. You will probably have to go to an autobody shop supply store so they can order it for you. It runs about $17.00 a gallon and the stuff is awesome between waxes. It took my local shop two days to get it in and no additional freight.

Not bad for a 1994 that never sees a garage and has to battle the weather here in the northwest.

Cherry wet wax is the best wax I have used. Liquid glass just takes to long to put on and wait for it to cure. If you got alot of time use liquid glass, but if you want something quick use cherry wet wax.

I will have to look into the NXT I always used to use McQuires stuff and still use there #34 final inspection (quick detail spray)
I did buy the miracal mist also it works well but is DEFFINATELY NOT SUN FRIENDLY ON BLACK
As for S100 stuff is greasy and is really ment for small areas and bikes I have used it in the past and it always left bleed marks if you did not cover area perfectly and it is pricey.. I don't think the CCW is the best, but 23 bucks for a gallon of wax is cheap even if its like 10 bucks for shipping ( I don't remeber) thats enough wax to take the Lightning to the junk yark with a shine on it plus if you buy in bulk with some buddies it is by far a cheaper route
If you at store bought wax it is usually $15-18 range for decent stuff plus tax (here in NJ) and thats for 20-30oz's
Plus its all about service to me a little goes a long way and Rick in my book (never met or even talked to) is a good guy and gets the product to you with some extra's in no time flat...
Good luck guys in what ever you use as long as it clean well at least for a 1/2 (Black) it' s all good
Slick

Will try it again . . .

After reading the posts I think I'm going to have to give CWW another try on my truck . . . no wait - I have NXT to try . . . !

Think I'm going to have to get a second truck!

Here is the link to the NXT if anyone is interested.
http://www.meguiars.com/whatsnew/techwax.cfm
I ordered it direct from Meguiars as it was still so new it hadn't arrived in the retail stores yet.
RockPick gives a detailed evaluation of NXT in the General Care forum of this site. His thread is now on the second page of that forum if anyone cares to check it out.
Also LGJ said he found some at his local Wal-Mart recently.

Just for "fun" I plan on putting a coat of CWW on top of my second coat of NXT this week...

Eagle one wet?

I've used eagle one wet for like 8 years now and have always loved the results. It seemed to hold up for like a year between applications. The paint on my '98 GTP looked new in '03 when I traded it. If you can't tell I'm in the "if ain't broke don't fix it category" when if comes to waxes
I used the last of what I had on my wife's car this past weekend. I noticed that Eagle One doesn't make it anymore. Its been replaced with a polish/wax combo not interested in that. Has anyone ever used Eagle One Wet? Are their any replacements that look as good?
