Go for it. Cheap, easy mod. Plus it's insurance for not running 15's at the track if you go... Don't ask me how I know

Why do you want to do this mod?

Not trying to be too much of a wise guy... but this "mod" is often mis-interpreted.

Yes this is *incorrect*.

The boost by-pass mod only serves to *not* dump boost in a case where the computer is trying to.

For example, when doing a burn out and over reving the motor by accident... the computer will dump boost for the following 15 seconds.

With a boost by-pass hooked up the computer sends the signal to the solenoid but the valve does'nt respond because it's been by-passed.

Some guys have successively just unplugged the wire/connector w/o throwing a SES light... ?

I do not plan on bringing my L to the track, but do have some spirited exchanges on the Highway. Would my truck dump boost in a red light to red light type scenario? Would it dump boost if at the next light I got into it again?

I guess what I'm asking is, do I need to do this mod to ensure good performance when I'm feeling heavy footed or is this a track only mod?

Thanks

This is the boost bypass mod, Go to Chucks page and scroll down to the actuator adjustment part.

The boost dump mod is not needed on a stock L and will not help you at all.
