hello all,
I am wondering if its ok if i do this mod with a completely stock 2002L. If so i am going to pckup the parts RPM outlet describes and do it tonight. thanx in advance.

Yes this is *incorrect*.
The boost by-pass mod only serves to *not* dump boost in a case where the computer is trying to.
For example, when doing a burn out and over reving the motor by accident... the computer will dump boost for the following 15 seconds.
With a boost by-pass hooked up the computer sends the signal to the solenoid but the valve does'nt respond because it's been by-passed.
Some guys have successively just unplugged the wire/connector w/o throwing a SES light... ?

I guess what I'm asking is, do I need to do this mod to ensure good performance when I'm feeling heavy footed or is this a track only mod?
