New block cost?

I am working on a sick deal for a new motor. I was originally going to re-use the stock block but then I thought why not have 2 motors for the hell of it.

What does a new block go for?

Thanks

I think we may have already talked via e-mail, but just in case.

I paid like $467 for my new block (employee price = 10% over dealership cost)

the list or MSRP price was like $708

this was last September.

but I've heard starting around the 1st of this year, Ford went WAY up on blocks, heads, and cranks for our motors due to the demand for them, and all of the buildups. I haven't re-checked the prices though.

later,
chris
