Thumbs up I want an offensive exhaust w/ good sound!

OK all of you other L owners I need opinions.

I live in a nice quiet neighborhood, were a lot of the mom's stay home and drive their kids to school in the Volvo wagon or their Mercedes suv.

I want to shake things up a little an put an exhaust on my L that is offensively LOUD.

That way when little Suzie and Bobby are out playing in the yard they hear the truck rumbling from around the corner before they can see the truck.

I don't want to run straight pipes, I just want the loudest cat-back out there for sale that has good sound. I know that everyone has their favorite vendor and favorite brands, but I am hoping there is one LOUDEST system that people can point me towards.

I sold my silver bullet because it was too loud, I think the dual muffler setup with the x-pipe from JDM is louder than the magnaflow and the borla and the mac and the bassani, hope this helps.
I also now own a magnaflow with internal x-pipe and it is perfect.

Have you thought about changing your name to "COP MAGNET"

well I've got the bassani catback with the JDM long tube headers and high flow cats...i'm told my exhaust is pretty offensive, ESPECIALLY at WOT. it sounds insane. i always make sure that when i play with someone on the highway that they are on my right side...just to give em an ear full i doubt you'd be disappointed by the bassani. it sounds great.

Go with longtubes and single high flowing cats and it won't matter what you follow the cats with it will be loud at WOT. I have the Maggy internal X pipe and the neighbors know when I come and go on start up an acceleration, but it sounds like I have a very strong engine under the hood without being totally offensive (in my opinion).

I hear that the dual maggy's are even louder and as stated above the silver bullet may even be louder than that. I am very pleased with my set up.

No headers guys, no highflow cats... just a cat-back.

have the cats taken out and replaced with straight pipe, and get a magnaflow catback. It will be just as loud as you want it.

I had the silver bullet(2 round muffler type) and that had a loud wicked sound. They will here you down the block. Iswitched to magnaflow to quiet it down

I agree with Firemx220. I had the same setup and it was too loud and threatening for me. People will hear you down the block before they see your Lightning. I now use the Magnaflow Catback system to quite the Beast down. I love the sound now.

Thanks for the quick replys! I am ready to start offending.

FC26,
That's not a bad idea. I may have to put that on my plates now

COPMGNT, I wish we had seven spaces on Alaska plates.

Ok Vinnie you win! The trucks sounds sick!! What parts do I need to get there?

My other question is where did you find the billet inlays for the smooth steps? That is a nice way to finsh those off.

I have to agree, the two best "loud" exhausts I've heard are longtubes+JDM SilverBullet or longtubes+Bassani..either of those and you can still "mostly" pass inspection as you have cat+muffler.

Straight pipes are louder, but I never quite liked the sound of it.

that is the JDM /Kooks Long tubes with Magnaflow Hi-Flow cats going to a JDM Silver bullet Cat-back. It is a very offending exhaust system.HHEHE

The Billet inlays can be bought by our very own Chikenears.
