i got scammed the same way. Western Union DOES NOT back up money in situations like this. Believe me, I tried. I was trying to buy a laptop, but when i sent the money Western Union (the dude was in Italy as well...hmmm) I did something I didnt tell him about. Theres an option to have a "code word" that the receiver of the money must know before he can get his money. Even if he has all the legit ID and what not, without the secret word he cant get his cash. What I was going to do was give him the code word once i received confirmation of shipment. Sounded like a good plan, but the Italy W.U. office gave him the money anyway, without the code word thingy, and I never heard from him again. You live, you learn

Sal.................THIS IS A SCAM

Be afraid, be very afraid

ANYTIME you send cash out of country.....you are at their mercy.
You are absolutely powerless to protect yourself legally.

Regards,

Franko

So loud my son just asked what I was laughing about

Sal, 1% of the e-mail talks about the Vehicle, and 99% talks about the money transaction, me not feeling comfy on this
I vote --> "SCAM"

Take it from someone that has done some very unpleasant things in my early yrs. Rule number one, make them feel comfy, calm their fears by talking about how your NOT gonna screw them.
promise them the word, throw in some freebie's, spell it out so they understand they CAN'T POSSIBLY get screwed,
Then look them straight in the eyes and ram it up their OUCH

And remember, NO ONE questions the Death Card, and thats the card he's playing.............

How could you ever question the integrity of an Italian businessman?
