painted intake/plenum pictures

painted my upper plenum and upper portion of my intake while the blower is at apten being serviced. I will also paint the blower when it comes back. used high temp engine paint. Also I do not consider myself a talented painter by any means.

I also Just ordered some Nitto DR for the back, a REM oil seperator b/c I was getting some oil build up, and will probably order some LFP traction bars and Heat exchanger by weeks end. I came ever so close to ordering 4 Weld Prostar XP's, was going to come to about $1500, but I will have to wait a while on that one. I cant wait to take the truck back out, but looks like the north east is going to get hammered one last time with snow.

I stipped mine to the metal using aircrft stripper, (dangerous stuff)
then used steel wool in all the cracks and crevices, and then sand blasted it a little to remove the stubborn factory grey paint still left on.

I use por-15 www.por-15.com and painted it,
I screwed it up (clear coated it while it was still wet) and had to start all over.

But now mine looks Just like your intake.

I thought about painting the lower manifold however, enev using high temp paint, I didn't want the Petro products peling it off.

Your's look real good.

Looks pretty nice. Keep us to date on how the paint holds up after time. My blowers going to be ported here in the next week or so. Can't wait.

I also grinded down the ***** in the lower intake, will it do any good? probably not, I was just bored, and I'm sure some think I'm crazy for putting JB weld in the intake. anyways I just sent out my chip to be reburned for the apten, and for never putting my 410s in. cant wait for this F'n snow to melt and get everything together.

Don't get me started on the Snow *!&@#$!@^($#(@$#@$

If I tried that JB, I'd prob glue at least two of my Body Parts together

Thats some fine work you did there wkuper11,
our engine compartments can def use some sprucing up,
Nice Job

Unfortunatly I'm old, nobody ever ask's to see me motor,
I may just paint the entire engine chevy orange and get it over with
