Talking New 2004 Lightning Owner

The new 2004 silver Lightning is sweet. Just cant seem to keep my foot out of it. Tryed to take it easy for the first 1000 miles and got the oil changed.First race on a back road of course a Z28 camero, jumped him on the start and stayed one car length ahead till about 110 and then had to back off. I never dreamed a truck could run like this one SWEEEEEEET.

Thanks for the Congrats. Port Neches is about 80 miles east of Houston. Is'nt Abilene in North Texas around the panhandle? Don't mean to get off the subject but can you tell me the best set of catback exhaust I can get for my new Lightning? I can't wait to start adding the mods.

Congrats on the new silver L You'll have so much fun with your truck. From a lot of people I've heard the JDM Silverbullet catback system is pretty nice. I have the magnaflow and I'm happy.

Well basically they're all pretty good with their own unique sound volumes and qualities. All except for the Mac system which isn't fully stainless steel so there have been people with problems of interal rust etc. If you're looking to add more HP and TQ go with a chip and a pulley since the catback exhaust really doesn't offer any significant gains.
