I had a great time the last 2 weekends at FFW and NMRA down here in Florida. It was great to meet so many people that it seems like I know from the Lightning forums. Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful at both events. Now I know Vinnie, Paul, Mark, Tommy, Don, and so many more, including the vendors, as well as the Florida guys.

I thought tieing for 4th at FFW was a thrill until luck was in my favor at Bradenton. I'm still on a high..... It's not everyday I get to race such a great bunch of Lightning enthusiasts.

Thanks for a great couple of weekends, everybody.

Well i didnt get to meet any of u at teh shows lol.But i had a great time.

 

I know what you mean about being so close. I hit the brakes a little to much in the QF at ffw and lost by .01 after i had knocked down a good light.

I raced in Bradenton in the 70's, but have been gone from FL and drag racing for sometime. I would REALLY like to find some sites (links) that could keep me posted on all the drag racing in FL that I KNOW still goes on around here. Schedules, locations..that type of thing. So far since 1999, been to the Gator Nationals just once! Can you help an old drag racer out here?
Who knows, maybe my 1997 is slow enuff my girl friend would actually approve me getting back into it!

 

Thought I would bring this thread back because it's the first time I never got any response. Any info on North central Florida drag racing schedules would be greatly appreciated!

All three have schedules of upcoming events on their websites.This should keep you covered as to what is going on at all the florida tracks.(other then Gainesville)
