Lightning as a tow vehicle?

my fiance keeps telling me this is sacreligious but i figured i'd ask you guys lol

im in the market for a new vehicle and i always told myself for my next car i'd grab a 99 cobra vert or something along those lines but now that i have my notch as the race vehicle i'll need a trailer for her.

so here's my point, i've always been a HUGE fan of lightnings but how are they as tow vehicles? the notch only weighs about 2800 without me in it and then however much an open trailer weighs. would this be a good/bad idea?

We have an open trailer w/ a 4500lbs car. Not a problem.

Just throw some air bags on 'er. She'll tow like a queen.

From: Colorado,
I have done a couple thousand miles towing with mine and it drops my average about 4 or 5 MPG.

She pulls great. I checked out air bags and got the run around because it is a couple inches lower than stock.

I didn't use anything and got good results. I wonder if anyone makes air shocks that will work?

don't forget that the '03/'04 L's have a stiffer rear suspension. Sucks for ride height, but it does increase payload a little bit. The L would make a great tow vehicle for the weekend warrior.

I pulled my 00 Roush Convertible from East TN to Detroit and no problems at all. I got 12mpg all the way.
