Should I trade up or not? Here's the numbers...

I think the $27,600 is the price on the truck AFTER trading them his AND the $2K rebate. In other words, not a good deal at all (except for the dealer!).

A vehicle is probably the worst investment you can make. They don't appreciate unless there is some kind of special circumstance.
If yours has been working fine, then keep it and save your $$$. Chances are if you take good care of it, things will be fine. I'm not saying baby the thing because that isn't fun but don't drive the living **** out of it either unless you feel like starting to fix things. In other words, use your head. Several members have bolts with many miles on them which have been trouble free.
I had a 99 bolt and I probably would have kept it but I had a multitude of problems with it at very low miles. By comparison, my 03 Lightning that I have hasn't had 1 problem in the same amount of miles that I have put on it. Seems like this one is so much better.

AA You need to remember that trade in and ACV (actual cash value) are completely different. I can give you 30,000 trade in but that just means a higher price for the truck you're buying. Do what it sounds like you did this last time. Always make your deal on the new truck first before ever mentioning a trade. Then you will get the acual trade figure instead of an inflated number. No dealers or salesmen would want everyone to know this but this is the best way to go.
