New best Hp(Apten Dyno), New best E.T., New problems
First off I would like to thank Sal from PSP for making the trip to Mustang Magic to dyno tune my truck this weekend.
Well my last tune was 386/486.
Since then I ported the upper intake and blower and added a 160 thermo:
Now I am at 415/486(or 489 can not remember)
So I impress with the Dyno numbers and I saw 30 hp to the wheels like everyone else with an apten is getting
So then I headed to the track. Last time I ran a 12.8 @106 at Etown. This was with the ported intake and blower but no dyno tune and no 160 thermo.
Sunday I ran a 12.54 @ 106 at Etown. The track conditions where real close so I guess the tune, thermo, and porting shaved .25 off my E.T.
I had to run Heavy class so I only had 2 runs. On my second I broke something. 3/4 down the track the truck just stopped accelerating and my mph was only 97 mph. I get back to the pits and my truck is running like crap, very ruff, felt like the truck was shaking. Then I look under the car and there is a small amount of oil slowly dripping from between the oil pan and the tranny
Any ideas.

I drove it home from NJ to NY fine. It was fine when I was on the highway, maybe a little ruff.
It was mostly at idle or at slow speeds. Also when I went to start it, it would turn several times before it would turn over.

Is the coolant & oil a normal color?
If it were me... I'd pull each plug and check them first.

How would I know if the plug is bad?
I don't think it was detonation because I had it dyno tuned the day before and the A/F was between 11.2 and 11.6

careful, detonation isn't just about a/f ratio. In fact it's really not about a/f at all, a/f is just a cause. It's the heat generated by a lean a/f that makes detonation in a properly tuned engine. But you could have timing issues that caused it.
Sounds kinda like gasket to me tho .. . . sorry if it is.

I started to look over the truck last night to figure out what is wrong. 1st thing I found was the nut to the EGR valve was loose and air was shooting out. I tightened that up and the engine seemed to run a little better but not 100 %. Also I think exhaust gas is leaking from the cat back at the joints before the muffler and there is water also dripping from there. This still does not explain were the oil is coming from. There was no oil under the truck this morning so I am guessing it is only leaking when I get on it.
