Question Ported Eaton-Track Results

Any body got any?
I have seen all the posts about "Ported Eaton-Dyno Results". What I'm NOT seeing is the Track Results.
With 30-40 HP gains, I am expecting to hear: "I picked up three tenths!"
I'm NOT hearing this.

Like I said, I've heard all the dyno talk but I missed all the ET@MPH posts.

Somebody point me in the right direction.

Thanks.
Fred

Fred

I've been doing a ton of research lately on these. What I've come up with is there a quite a few people porting the blower. From what I hear, they are all using, or "stole" (not my choice of words) aptens design.

Results from these are showing 1-3 mph depending on your current mods in the quarter mile.

Haven't seen many compared et's, because track conditions haven't been alike, and most here in the northeast are still closed as you know, but from what I hear, average is from a tenth, to three tenths.

Average RWHP is showing 15-30. Claiming 30-40 hp seems to be a high claim. Most guys getting near 30 are seeing boost levels of 15lbs or more to get that power.

Hope this helps a little. Still researching/learning.

1mph in the 1\8th (so far). I do believe the 1\4 is where I would get more out of the port job.

I need to run with the lakewoods which is what I had last season.
see my post "back from the track with ported eaton" for details.

Hum; I asked this same question like 2 day ago. I got the same. Guess we have a bunch of dyno queens

But, I have had mine on the track. I am not really happy with it either. The times are the same; actually a little slower ET wise. The MPH is actually up for the ET it ran, but it won't 60ft good, and the ET is slowed down. All passes are on ET Streets, and I have tried 2 different weekends now to get my ported eaton times better. And yes this last weekend the weather was very very similar to when I had my previous best.

Old best was 1.75 7.84@88.5mph
With porting best 1.79 7.92@88.5mph

I was expecting to be in the 7.7 range; I think a lack of TQ is hurting. It dynoed at 439HP 513TQ SAE

I posted my full results, a week ago. Dyno, track, and against an SRT-10 at the track. Short answer, again: picked up 19 sae dyno rwhp, picked up 2 mph and went 19 hundreths quicker, in 15 degree warmer weather. Oh yeah, I TOASTED the SRT-10.

before: 12.8 @ 106
After: 12.54 @ 106

So about .25 off et. Did not gain anything for MPH. But I do not think this is 100% accurate because something broke on the next run and I think it may have been broke on that run, truck fell off at the top of the track.

Tommy Lightning went an 11.6 with a ported Eaton,Comp cams, long tubes with a bone stock throttle body and upper plenum!Diablo and filter of coarse. I watched him do it at NMRA this week-end. Unbelievable!

Not hard to believe at all.......the throttle body and plenum combined may only net him 5 hp.
