Ok this is ODD.

I been tinkering with my used 03L since I got a few weeks ago and today I noticed that the sticker on my driver valve cover has a date of 10/03/2003 but the sticker on the door jamb has 03/03.

Time to call ford and have them do a repair history on this truck, as fas a I can tell the truck was bone *** stock. It runs perfectly and all the long wire ties are still all over the place.

It may not be as odd as you think. Mine has two different dates also. I bought my 03 brand new with 6 miles on it. The heads have yet even a different date stamped on them.

Same here. Get under your truck and check your rear end tag. Mine says 02 and I bought it brand new. They are a mixture of parts

It makes no sense the that engine sticker is dated 7 months after the truck was delivered unless it was replaced under warranty.

HMM.

I just went out and looked. My tag on the valve cover says 03 12 02. My Door taf says 12 03. I am wondering if I am reading it right. If the year is the first number it makes since. December 2nd 2003.

The oasis report will tell you if somethings up. Good luck. Let us know what you find....if you don't mind.

You are all good, No warranty claims. It went into service with 17 miles on Odometer and was sold on 4/17/03.

You can edit you VIN now

Also to let you know, the reman engines that come from Ford do not have the dated stickers like the factory engines.

It just hit me. 10th day 3rd month 2003 year. That does match your03/03 door jamb. That is how mine is laid out.

Keep in mind the Canadians...as well as the rest of the world writes their dates differently than we do. 03/12/02 could mean Mar 12th 03 in the US, but more than likely means Dec 3rd, 2002 since your talking about an '03 L.

I was gonna say... 10/03/03 is 10th day, 3rd month 2003. And 03/03 is 3rd month 2003 so I didnt see the problem. I kept readint the post over and over to see if I missed anything because I didnt understand what you where so confused about. LOL.

Hmm I just went out and looked on my valve cover and it says 02/27/02 So it goes Month, day, year

So you are right.. It appears in your case if you have a build date of 03/03 there is a 7 month difference

My truck was built on 05/2002 so the sticker on the valve cover is dated 3 months prior.
