Hey Easterisland, is the centrifugal done?

I just noticed your pic in response to another topic. Is that a mock-up or do you have it up and running? As a long time centrifugal guy I'm curious as to your impressions after getting it up and running as compared to a KB.

No, not yet. I just got my 80mm univer mass the other day and I still have to connect the oil lines and get the SCT tuning software I ordered. I also need an 11-12 inch lower pulley...there has got to be some out there that don't cost a fortune. I f not the fastest I'll be able to spin the supercharger is about 47K rpm at 5500 motor rpm. I'm guessing that will only be maybe 20psi at the most. The novi should be able to handle 60-65K rpms. I guess the nitrous may have to pick up the slack.

Thanks for the reply Leonard. I'll keep my eyes open for a post when you have it going and an opinion on the setup. The centrifugals offer some advantages as far as efficiency, just wondering how they stack up in a heavy vehicle. I've loved the ones I've had.

No, 38topgun had his done a few years ago. Rob will probably be done before me. I hate going out in the cold and working on the thing. Plus, I got an lx coupe last week I still have to hook up the juice on it and install new fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator.

Yes, it is the same basic setup. I went blow through maf and am venting to atmosphere. That way I can have a bigger intake and also don't recirculate hot air. Also, won't be running through the eaton or KB(which currently is selling on ebay).

Yes, that is it.

I think running two superchargers would be cool, but I can't see that I'd need that. I beleive the boost multiplies when you run them in series like that. I just need something which runs well on the street and the freeway and that doesn't heat up as much as the stock stuff or KB does. I plan on an air to air intercooler next year. I also have a nitrous kit which I will hook up to supplement the Novi. The KB is nice for a normal person who wants to run their truck as a weekend warrior type of thing.

24 hours left. If you get it you can save yourself the shipping charges. Clarksville is only an hour away....

There is one in Lebanon(Delk). Delk has an above ground mustang dyno and their #'s are always lower than the dyno jet so most people go to TEA for the big #'S.
