Tonneau Cover
Tonneau Cover
Ok, the wife is complaining that our luggage is going to get wet. How in the world does this tonneau cover work. I have it on, but the line closest to the cab isn't sealed, it only has 2 fasteners on it that don't line up to the straps in the bed. It also came with 2 black arms, and only one of them sort of fits across the bed. Can anyone provide suggestions? Thanks-
Man, if this is a factory cover, the two straps are only for when you roll it up. There is a channel attached to the bed that the cover slides into. In other words you slide the cover into the channel while standing beside the truck. The two black rods are spring loaded and fit into depressions or slots along the rails. Since I'm to lazy to go out to the garage and look I took a peak at my Burago model and the longest of the two rods goes towards the front. The factory cover fits and seals real well. The only dampness I get is a little around the tail gate and being that I live in the pacific northwest I figure that it's not going to get any better than that.
Just a thought but why don't you have your wife read the manual. That's what mine does since I never read those things and then can't figure out why it doesn't work. Good luck.
