Who makes slicks that will fit?

Hey all,

I odnt have an L but i was looking for some info on a buying slicks and i figured it would be better to ask you guys. Anyhow i was wondering if anyone makes slicks that will fit the 16x7 spare rims that come on our trucks, i think i have seen a few picks of members here using 2 spare rims with slicks on them, that what i was hopping to do.

You can run BFG 255-50-16 drag radials on a 7 in rim, I do not think I would run M/T or Hoosiers on a 7in rim.

You are inluck!!

M/T makes two sizes for narrow wheels.

27/10.5/16 or 28/11.50/16, don't go by the size printed on the tire they both only have a 8.7" tread width and will work fine on a 7" wheel!

I would recommend the 27" height if you have a '99 with the 3.55 gears.

BTW, you could go with a Larger slick such as a 28/10/16 which is a full 10" wide tread but it will balloon up and only contact the ground in the center of the tread, the smaller slicks will lay flatter, actually putting more tread on the ground with 7" wheels.

Here is a link to the M/T specs
