So Depressed

I think it might be time I parted with Delilah. It's the most depressing thing I've had to think about in years...
I have obscene payments... I got 12% interest and can't refinance because I don't have enough credit to get a $25,000 refinance loan from peoplefirst. Insurance costs me $2500 a year, and gas is expected to top $3 a gallon this summer. All said it costs me about $1000 a month to drive this truck.
I guess I just want to vent to people who will understand. I'm looking for any reason to keep it.

Edit: opps sorry looks like you need a car loan not a mortgage, but if you own a house I may be able to help you pull some equity to help out with the car.

Gas is almost 2 bucks here..the highest EVER for florida. Thats about 200 bucks in gas a month if I only drive to work and home...which doesnt happen.

Im only about 100 bucks under you per month all in all.... I know what you mean, its almost not worth it..... but I could never sell it now, I think I would cry if I had to start over with something else.

good luck ... hope you dont have to sell

I know how you feel bro. It costs me about $15,000 a year to drive mine.

I just try to stay drunk enough not to see the numbers.

total thread hijack, but anyways....

My cousin took effexor when he was going through his divorce and had serious blood pressure increases, then when he stopped taking it at the Dr's advice, he had all kinds of problems because you cant just stop taking it- he had withdrawl issues appearantly.

I hear ya, but I don't blame ya. I'd sell it too. How about getting something small and fast that you can mod that won't be so hard on gas.

Think of it this way. There will ALWAYS be L's available. They made quite a few of them over the 6 year of Gen 2 production.

do whatever it takes man! stay the hell out of boost as often as possible. take off the tailgate and get a netted tailgate to save on gas (less weight). put skinnier tires on it (less friction = better mileage. yes i know, less traction too but hey you wanna sell it or lose traction? hehe)

i don't know what i'd do if i had to sell my L....how depressing. do what the others said too...cut the cable TV, satellite radio if you got it, food portions...Ramen Noodles are 10/$1.00....a wise investment if you ask me....good luck.

Hopefully you can hang on to it. I had to sell my '98 Cobra, and I really missed that car. I was fortunate that my wife let me get the L last year, and I'm taking the keys to my grave hopefully. I don't want to live life without one of the two.
