Cam questions?

hey all,

i am looking into putting cams in my new motor...

any suggestions on which ones?

i plan to have a 5 angle valve job done, but no real porting done (too much money)....

is it worth it to do cams with stock heads??

i have heard anywhere from 25RWHP to 65RWHP

i will most likely be going to a 6# pulley from a 4#

thanks in advance for the input!

cams must be a black magic secret, or something.... i thought with all of the knowledge at this site, there would be more of a response

maybe a better question would be:

What to you guys do for a living? or maybe, How old are you?

Ive got Crower Stage-2 (ish) cams in my truck.

When I went from my stock motor to my built motor I picked up about 40hp and 30ft/lbs.

Before - 466hp / 605tq
After - 505hp / 630tq

Only thing changed was the motor with mild hand-ported heads, big valves & the cams..

They give the motor a little bit of a lopey sound (nothing too drastic). Just enough to know they are there, which is cool.

Theres a sound clip of the idle >HERE< and >HERE<
