160 thermo install question

I have had a 160 Thermo sitting on my counter for 6 months. I am getting a dyno tune on saturday and want to install it before I go.
2 questions:
1. If I do not do it before Saturday will it affect my dyno tune / air/fuel ratio at all.

2. Do you have to drain all the fluid out or just some. And if you can direct me to where the fluid drain is.
Thanks

I just pulled it apart and topped it off after i put it back together, oh and be careful not to let antifreeze in the intake valley, you'll smell it burnig for ever.

Right under the front bumper passenger side where you would think the radiator valve would be. You will see a small valve, it's pretty far up but visible. I put a piece of hose on it (Yes it's to big but it still worked fine) and drained it, it's only a gallon. After I put the 160 in I just put back what I drained out.

Pay attention to how the old one was in there so you dont get it backwards, it would be easy to do. There is a rubber ring, it's fine just to re-user it.

It def. keeps the eng. cooler.

No... it's so easy, it's not even funny.

drain the radiator for like 20 mins (it's a SLOOOOOWW drain). Once that's drained, squeeze the large upper radiator hose to get any extra fluid out. I did this a bunch of times, and had almost 0 fluid when I took it off.

Take off the large hose at the end where it hits the thermostat housing (on the block). Have some rags around the area to catch any fluid, just in case...

Remove the 2 bolts holding the housing on. Remove thermostat, reuse the rubber O-ring. Put it all back together, then add the amount of fluid you just removed.

What kind of benifits are you guys getting from this? Are there any measurable gains in performance?
