Weight savings...
Weight savings...
Going to the track for the second time this Friday and want to try and loose some weight, but I also had a question. If I remove the tail gate but keep the cover on the bed will that help any, I know I'll loose more weight with it off but I was wondering if it would help in areodynamics in any way or should I just take that off too. I'm also going to take off the spare and maybe the front sway bar. Does removing the sway bar really help that much. Thanks guys!
I pulled a low 8.3 last time and want to hit a low a 8.2 this time. I also might spray a 50 shot so I expect a 7 as well, but I'll probally only get to do that ounce cause you have to have a helmet and all that stuff...I'm babaling now.

I hear pulling the front sway bar off does help some. Might pick up the front left tire if you really hook.
I can't see removing the tailgate helping much at all though. If anything, that is weight off the rear of the truck that helps you plant the tires on the launch.
I removed my spare and hitch over the winter and am looking forward to trying my first feather footed launch this spring. Should be interesting.
