not impressed, i think the old painted dash looked much better. I think it looks over dressed. You are becoming fad driven and loosing the clean look. There is always something to say about simple. Dont fix it if it isnt broken.

 

Oftentimes, I see you guys ream the hell out of someone for his or her tastes. Too rice this, too rice that. Maybe Vin, is a good bud to everyone here, but how are those big, bright, flames on the dash not rice? I would think, if anything would be considered rice, that what fit. What makes rice, rice? Do I like them personally? Nope, but it's not my truck! However, I can appreciate him wanting to do it to his truck. I put my truck together the way I like (and can afford) regardless of what anyone else is going to think.--Sorry, that was a bit of soap box pontificating. But, back to my original question, what is rice? Is rice determined what is on who's truck?

 

If someone took a can of spray paint and just went at it then I'm sure it would turn out ricey, but becase he smoothed and painted the dash piece...it just works Exemplory Vinnie, thats the only word I could think of to describe the greatness your truck is, truly a testament to why red is the best color

 

What makes rice rice, is when you take your Mothers Honda
and put a fart can on it, 5 hundred stickers, and think you got some fast and furious rocket ship.

However when you have a 10 sec consistant 1st place show winner, IT'S CALLED CUSTOM, NOT RICE

I happen to Love it, but of couse EACH AND EVRYONE ONE OF US has a differant view on HOW we want OURS to be, if we had V's money. I think his is one of thee nicest Lightnings on the Planet,
and the 1st place wins seem to mean others do too.
Would I do mine diff, yes I would, if I had V's money this is MY DREAM

People can call me old school if they want, but, Flames will never go out, they are not a (Fad) they have been around since the beginning and will still be here after a lot of us have gone. I love it, Flames make things look like they are hallin A$$ even when they are sitting still, I have always loved flames when done right, and these ones are.
The smoothed and painted rear window trim, love it, I have always wanted that done since the Day I saw a picture of Rich--(TampaSVT) with his done. It looks awesome.
The Carbon Fiber kit, great mod, the Real Carbon Fiber inserts, what can I say, except, Where the hell are mine. lol.Awesome.
I personally feel that everything, and I mean everything that you have done has brought the truck a notch higher. It is a bad *** truck that can walk all over you at the track and will make you think twice about entering a show that you are in. It is with out a doubt, the Best of both Worlds.
You have done a Great job with it my friend and you have the HDMLNIUM Seal of Approval. haha

To each his own. Some are going to like it and some are not. I am fine with that.

Definately NOT fad driven though. If I was then the L would be bagged w/ at least 22s (which I think there is nothing wrong with), but I spend WAY more money in Performance mods then appearance mods.

TampaSVT is still probaly my favorite L and his had no flames or custom paint.

It's impossible to please everyone but multiple trophy wins proves that Vinnie's beast is pleasing 99.99% of us.
Definitely one of my all time favourites.

Now what you need to do is show that Jimmy some tender loving care and turn that baby into an L companion tight ride .

Very impressive,
but adding my 2 cents, I think the dash is a little over the top, Perhaps I have to see it in person to get the "whole" picture.

Is there a glare on the windshiled from the shiny black and now flames?
