I'm looking at an 03. Owner claims no problems and the truck looks great. Hopefully, in a couple of days she will be mine. I have always wanted a L. but ever since I joined this forum.....it's a FEVER. I was going to wait a year or so and get a new one....but If I can get a used one that is practically new for much less now.....I'm gonna do it.

I had a new 02 and totalled it. I replaced it with a used 02 with similar miles (~16000). This one is great, although it was the owner of the dealer's truck, so it was probably taken care of (at least serviced). The second time around, I had to go used. Insurance gave me just under 30 grand for the salvage. I was lucky enough to find one the same color and year, so it's almost like nothing happened Would have preferred another new one, but any L is better than no L

I bought my 03 used with 7,300 miles. No problems at all. I went over it with a fine toothed comb before I bought it though. The exhaust had been changed and then changed back to stock. And the oil drain plug was stripped but I know it was most likely one of those morons at the dealer who changed the oil when it was traded in. Just know what to look for as far as pulleys, chips, or accident signs.

Owner says it is bone stock besides a K&N filter and exhaust. I will do a carfax before I make an offer. Those are accurate right?

BTW, what did you pay for the 03 with 7300 miles? If you don't mind telling me.

I bought my 01 used with 7700 miles about a month ago. No regrets and no problems with it.

I bought a '99 lightning used in Jan of 03 with only 3000 miles on it.

Had to replace all 4 tires (flat spots) but it still smelled new on the inside.

it'll be accurate for anything that was reported. For example if they dented a fender or something and didn;t want to claim it on their insurance to avoid paying more, than it won;t show up on carfax.

They were asking 29,500 but I ended up getting it for 27,000. I happened to know the sales manager and this was the 5th Ford we bought from them this year.
