Apten at the track....disappointed

Went to the track this weekend and was a little disappointed. This was the first time to the track after my Apten port and that was the only mod done since my last time to the track. Best so far is 12.6 @ 108. My best this weekend was 12.79 @ 106. I ran this weekend at E town. The other one was at Cecil.
The truck seems to be pulling harder but the E.T. does not show it. Shows 16 psi and prior was like 14psi at cecil.

The only thing I could think of is Cecil is supposedly a "fast" track. I also had a dyno tune since then but before the Apten port and my air filter may be a little dirty compared to that run since I had cleaned it the night before Cecil.

I lose a few tenths at Englishtown comparted to Cecil. It's hard to compare times from different tracks, different temps, and different traction.

Did you have the truck retuned after the port, or did you just slap it on and go?

Halflife,

Are you running those times on slicks, drag radials, or radials?

It will be very hard for me to compare my Apten port to the times prior to putting it on for several reasons:

1. I won't be able to get the same 60fts on F1's like I did before due to the increased power.

2. I have a reburned chip.

3. I will be running slicks starting this season.

4. Track conditions will be completely different.

I think #4 is the most important. No 2 tracks are the same, the weather is never identical, and the same track can drastically change from on day to the next.

To sum it up, you really can't compare

There are SO MANY variables at both the dyno and the track, why do we even compare them from one time to the next?

I can tell you why.....

We is all crazy NEED MORE SPEED.....

Hey Tom, didnt even see you leave sat.
Never got to see your final run. Sorry your dissapointed but you probably need Johnny to give you a good reburn for that apten job to take full advantage of the new high end pull.

JMHO,

I think you are playing with Fire. I wouldn't add a ported blower and think of going to WOT before a reburn, especially at these temps.
