I must say that I really need to get the expy console. It looks so cool. My question is how do you make the passenger seat look like the driver's seat? How do you take away the part of the seat where the 3rd passenger would normally sit? Is this a modification made to the seat or a different seat altogether. Also, where do I get the console? Thanks.

 

A person has to cut and or modify the passenger seat, you just use the seat that is stock and cut it up. And the console is a gray one out of an expedition, good luck finding one, ebay and junk yards seem to be the places to look these days. It requires and few new frames nuts and bolts and such for the seat to sit on and the console to bolt to, try a search, many have done this mod and left all the part numbers needed in those threads.

 

crap, i just lost a long reply to your post, so heres the short and sweet...youll need these parts





basicly, when you find a console (best bet is to go to a junkyard), take the passenger seat also, youll have all 3 parts you need for the seat then (the th8ird part is the support assy to mount the seat on).

take you old seat to an upholstery shop and have them cut you old seat foam and fabric to match the new frame.

WHen i did mine i got the console and the set but i got a electric seat. A little more work but i had a fully electric passenger seat untill i took it all out.
