Question Aptenized Magnum with Graphite Rotors

Do you guys thinks it's possible to aptenize a magnum blower and then use a graphite coated rotor pack? What exactly are the benefits of using graphite rotors? If it's possible this combo. would kick a$$. Thanks.

Brian at Apten could answer this far better than all the armchair engineers could.

He's done Kenny Bells, so I'm sure Magnum powers could also be done.

If you are going to spend that much cash....why not just opt for the KB?

Not sure but I think this combo would come out to be around $500 less then KB. Don't know too much about graphite rotors though. Someone want to point me in the right direction please. Thanks.

No way that any Eaton will be worth only $500 less than a twin screw. It's not even in the same league.

A roots can never be a compressor, just a blower. A twin screw is a true compressor (and a positive displacement blower).

The KB has the same boost curve as the Eaton and is simply more efficient across the board. Especially when overspun, a twin screw can stay in its efficient range, while the roots' efficiency drops off the map. In a recent test, at 9 PSIG, the Eaton outlet was 207 degrees, while the KB was only 165. Assuming an ambient temp of 70, the Eaton was about 35% hotter. At higher boost levels, the KB will just pull away from there.

Save your money -- no amount of porting or rotor coating can close the gap.
