You know how it is driving the same "truck" all the time. Had to trade her in. The accident was all cosmetic and was not really the reason but it didn't help. Found this baby 160 miles away in Clinton Il. Thanks again Darin and Aderson Ford. 2003 DSG. Yeah baby. I'm in love again and wouldn't know I picked her up 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Valentine's Day.

 

Let the modding begin.





FTVB installed yesterday. Don't worry I'm taking it easy on her. Occasionally my cane hits the gas pedal a little though.

did you have it on your last truck also? the only problem i have with bassani is the black "pits" ive gotten on the tips lately that wont come out, i should have cleaned them more often...just a heads up if you didnt already know

Congrats on the new truck , What was the accident from on the last one?

 

Yeah all performance mods were removed from slvr 2k and re-installed on DSG 03 except for headers, mid-pipes and predator. Removed but not re-installed. I've been busy enough these past few weeks, dealing with insurance company, body shop, car rental, removing mods and re-installing stock parts. Besides I'm waiting for a replacement from Bassani.


Didn't notice this on the install 6 months ago but thought I heard a leak.

 

Owed $7600 on the 2k. Got $16500 trade in with 46k miles. Put $8900 toward $29381 for an 03 with 13 miles and got 4% for 60 months. Lowered my payment by $110 a month. I'm happy...and tired. Sleepy time.

You drove your 2K for 4yr's and 50,000 miles, still got 16.5 for it, and get to drive a brand new Lightning for a mere 13K more, I'd take that deal ANYDAY
Just the piece of mind of having the better block, threads in the head, better head gaskets, 0 miles and a new tranny, is WELL WORTH THAT ALONE
