Got my new 2004 L!
Woo Hoo! Picked it up today, and I am IN LOVE! This is by far the fastest and best looking vehicle I have EVER owned, and that includes beating out my old '98 Cobra.
It was SO HARD to keep the RPMs down on the 45 mile drive back home, and I finally gave in and put the pedal down about 1/2 way...and it shot off with that beautiful blower whine (I only took it up to 85mph)! And then, when I got it home, I had to give my roommate a ride in it and get on it a LITTLE bit more, I couldn't resist. I am LOVING this truck!
VERY SPECIAL THANKS goes out to two members on this board: Mart Man 03 L , who gave me a SMOKING deal on this truck (X-Plan) and GREAT service and had the patience to deal with me calling him all the time to find out what the status was on my L (haha :P), along with FASTRNU , who hooked me up with the X-Plan PIN. Without either of these guys, I'd still be sitting here, dreaming about what it would be like to drive one of these beauties. Thank you guys SO MUCH for your help - You guys totally reinforce the fact that the Lightning community is a true brotherhood/sisterhood.

And thanks to the F150online community for all the questions you've answered & helpful information you've posted! I can't wait 'til I hit about 500-1000 miles on the odometer and really put the 'pedal to the metal'!

A-Plan is Ford's emplyee discount.
I have an X-Plan pin, a buddy is spose to be using in the next two weeks, if he doesnt use it I can let someone else have it.
Killa-B - don't let the mod bug get you, I fought it off for almost 5 months, and now its starting to take control
Truck looks exactly like mine when I bought it

As far as what I paid, out of respect to Mart Man, I won't quote a number (maybe he'll post what it was in this topic if he's cool with it), but it was a GREAT deal.

That looks just like the one that I picked up three weeks ago (except that mine now sits 2" lower in the rear )
A/Z plan pricing on an L is about $28,800 and X plan should just be a little more. I was lucky enough to also have a $1000 voucher for mine

The X-Plan price is right around $30,150. The price is printed right on the invoice. Tough part is finding a dealer willing to sell for X-Plan price. I had to get special permission to do it for Killa B. The Major problem is lack of units. I only got 5Lightnings for the year. I think that really sucks since there will be no SVT's for the '05 model year. What will I do without any SVT's to sell for a whole year!!

I have a Bedrug waiting to be installed (when it’s warmer out) and hopefully in the next few weeks I can get some Zaino on it.
Keeping her stock, might get an FTVB (purely for preventive maintenance)
