If they are like the 255/50 16s, do not waste your time. Two much torque with our trucks JMHO.

I have the 295/40-20 runflats on my L. Great tires. Great grip, decent ride quality (at least for a runflat), awesome looks.

But at $1200 a set and poor treadwear (grip always comes at the expense of longevity), they are not a great choice for a daily driver.

I have about 5-6,000 miles on mine. I think that they will be bald before 20K, probably closer to 15K, but this is speculation based just on measuring the tread depth. The compounds can be softer or harder as the tread wears down.

Here where I work we burn tires (along with coal) for fuel... while making some adjustments to the tire system yesterday, I notice a big fat tire on the belt, and say to myself "that looks like a Lightning tire." I ran over to the tire and notice that it's a BFG Comp T/A in 295/45R18. After returning to the office I tried to find that tire at several online tire dealers with NO LUCK. So actually I could only "find" one, and it was used hehe.

I believe they've been discontinued. The whole Comp T/A line, in fact. At least, that's what I've been told by several tire shops that carry Michelin and BFG. I have never been disappointed by any Comp T/A I've run in the past. They aren't good drag tires; but, for an all purpose tire, they were as good or better than any tire I've ever had. Too bad they're gone.

I have a set on the front right now, they are great in the rain or slick roads.
You can still find them here in houston but at 320 each they are not the best deal, my insurance co. paid for mine after a little tag with the meduim.
Great looking tire too, they realy fill up the fender well, if i didnt like my NITTOS so much i would have em all the way around.

I dunno if they discontinued it but BFG did also come out with a drag radial that was 315-35-18. I saw them at my local speed shop a couple months ago.
