Most people aren't banned for trying to sell something in the wrong forum...they're banned because they have a big mouth(keyboard), and like to shoot it off to everyone, and don't when to stop.

When I was a kid, I had a habit of sticking out my tounge and making a face whenever I didn't like something, or disagreed with whatever was going on. I managed to get by for a while, but then I did it to my Mom one day when she'd already had enough of my smarty-*** behavior. I don't think I ever did it again.

 

Actually I think it was Steve that banned Dealerjim because of the Communist thread. Apparently he couldn't tell it was a joke. I think Steve and Doug are still reeling from the whole Florida mess or something.

They took a lot of shots on that one.

Well, I tried to send red gen 1 a followup message regarding this post, but the email bounced, user unknown.

I'm afraid that he (and others) are operating under a serious misconception.

1) Doug had nothing whatsoever to do with the "dealerjim" banning.

2) The "dealerjim" banning, despite what he wants everyone to believe, had nothing to do with posting a classified ad, nor did it have to do with the "communist" thread and he is perfectly aware of that. Don't believe me? Ask "dealerjim" for a copy of the email thread we exchanged. He was banned for verbally insulting me in a manner in which I was highly insulted. He was given the opportunity to apologize and refused. Simply put, he will never be welcome here again.

(along those lines, I want to thank MISTERgadget for his open-minded reply to my message on this topic)

3) I had nothing to do with the thread on NLOC disappearing. I have never contacted NLOC to remove content from their site. Don't believe me? Ask them.

4) We don't read each and every thread, conspiracy and bias theorists. The thread that started this stupidity was brought to our attention by three different members using the "report this post" link. Generally, that results in some sort of action.

Simply amazing how one side of a story is considered gospel to some people. Reality check, it's not. Frankly, I don't know why I bothered to reply. Most of the vocal complainers have already make up their minds that I'm guilty. We're biased? Please. But, at least it creates fodder for the Dug & Sleve penal colonies to talk about.

JDM is a supporting member, so I guess that is OK in a roundabout way. Although, you must admit that they get the special treatment here.... and I am not sure why.
