Remember how that Jeep hit my house last May? well.....

You guys remember how a Jeep crashed into my house the night before the INDY 500 last year?

Old Thread Here

Well, I got a call from my dad this morning saying a truck crashed through my parents bedroom. Everyone in my family is all right, but I dunno about the drivers involved. Apparently a Semi flipped when taking the turn and scalped the truck, knocking the driver out cold. Since he was out, no one was able to steer the truck and it hit out house two rooms over from the previous hit. Destroyed damn near everything in the room. Luckily my mom was up otherwise she might not be around... Anyway, Jaws of Life were needed to get the driver out of the truck and he was life flighted outta there. Ironic part is that the owner of the truck was the one that supplied/installed the bricks on our house in the last accident......

The house is 60 years old, and in the previous 58 years no one ever hit it, but in the last 2 years that we have owned it it got DRILLED twice in 9 months. We still haven't even got everything sorted out from the first one. Now we got to get the state/city/whoever to put up some sort of barrier or wall or something.

There were a lot of helicopters and such around, so you local guys may see it on the news. May even make regional, who knows.

Chuck did just find out last night about my winter mods. Maybe he just is feeling slow now? And now I see he is selling his NOS bottle he bought a couple weeks ago. I can never figure out that kid.

Oh, and Brooks, I need a XXLT dangit. Or maybe a XXXL. The shirt fits up top, but doesn't reach my pantline. Damn tall torso. I'm 6'6" and wear 32" inseam pants, go figure.......

I remember the original post and how lucky you were then,
not to be in your room or bed, AND NOW THIS
TG no one was hurt or killed in your House AGAIN

zbornac, you really may want to talk to your parents
about moving from that location

I'd be digging a dayum MOAT around that house, so the next time they will end up in the water, instead of the living room

damn dude

glad to hear that everybody in the house is alright. Forget trying to get the city/state to make improvements. I'll come weld up a steel fence fabracated out of 8" carbon pipe. Then we will fill the pipe full of concrete! A fence like that can take a licking and keep on ticking

*UPDATE*

Got the semi truck driver's story from my dad. Semi was taking the right turn, but oncoming truck was in his lane a little. Caused semi to cut the turn short. Made him hit a curb which whifted the contents enough to tip. Front top of the trailer caught the cab of the truck and RIPPED the hell out of it and off. Knocked the driver of the truck out and he was along for the ride. Deflected off a tree in our yard and into the house. 8 inches to the right he misses the tree and goes straight into our neighbors. 8 inches to the left he drills the tree and stops.

Worst part is somewhere in there the driver of the truck broke/fractured his spine. He most likely could use our prayers.
