Predator Data Snapshot ?

RPM 4067
IAT 66
MAFV 4.46
Spark ADv 10 deg.
02522 - .95v
02511- .89v
02521- .88v

How does the MAFV look? Seems like for the RPM's it is high....

What is the MAFV range....?
idle to WOT.

Note: This log was run with an autologic program installed.
Thanks

MAss Air Voltage

I believe its 0 - 5

Remember the old stories about the HIGH HP guys maxing out thier MAF and hitting 5 volts ???

Yes I remember..That's why I am concerned. I see a certain unpopular tuner says tuning around a maxed out MAF is no way to tune.
Conversly..Kenne Belle's pages say that tuning around it is..OK...

Note: This log was run with an autologic program installed.

ANy comments....

The way I'm seeing it is why even have a maf if tuners can tune around it? Sure tuning around the maf may be okay for the truck that only sees track action because it is sort of predictable, but what about the truck that likes to do a 0-160 blast on the freeway? Is it still safe? I'm not 100% sure what tuners use to base the fuel trims off of after the maf hits 5 volts. The load? I think it is just more safe to get a maf which won't peg the voltage.

What size/brand would you recommend? I am assuming this is a mod that would require some tune changes.

Will the standard Superchips offerings allow for these kind of changes, or would one need to move to a 4 bank such as the SCT or Diablo?

Thanks, any info is much appreciated,

Rocks

Here is a snapshot of mine at a RPM that is close to yours.

Speed-----------57
RPM-------------4112
IAT----------------66
Timing------------16
MAFV-------------4.59
O2S11V----------.89
O2S22V-----------.93

On another snapshot my timing was 19 degrees at 5319 RPM.

I've got a full excel worksheet of datalogging since it doesnt look like will be getting any data logging software anytime soon. I'd like to compare notes with someone that is using the predator.

Mine right now is just raw data, no pretty graphs yet.

Easter aren't you using AutoTap, How do you like it?

Looks like you have pegged your MAF, Have you done any lower speed runs to see if the speed had anything to do with the pegged MAF?

Twisted I sent you my Raw Data. I might start graphing some things, I just don't have anything to compare yet.

RPMs have more to do with it than speed. The higher the rpm the more you are spinning the blower the more air is being introduced through the maf. The more air through the maf the higher the voltage.
AutoTap is okay. They have a new software version out now I haven't tried. I don't know how fast it is compared to the predator. I think the NGS is quicker than the autotap and can collect more data in the same amount of time.

Not to change the subject but @ idle the TPSv is .92...not long ago it was set at .99 with my Fluke meter.....
I wonder if I shouldn't use the Predator voltage to set TPS idle voltage..since this is the reference for the Predator...My fluke is calibrated ...

makes me wonder which one is acurate..better check it with the Fluke and the Predator at the same time I guess..
OH well..it's always something...

Hey; I got a couple today:

5252 RPM
56 F IAT
4.97v
17 Deg adv

5237
58 F IAT
4.91v

My mass air meter is close to being pegged

BTW; Twisted99 if you in the area on Saturday swing by the dyno. There is gonna be a bunch of us there from Pensacola. I am looking for the 450/550 club

when the meter pegs, load goes down, spark goes up, and it stops adding fuel for any additional air volume. So yes, it's bad
