DL has been around and he has helped the supporting vendors. He is at the track pushing their parts and helping them sell 'em. Hell. he gave me directions to JLP shop a couple of years ago!
Josh
DL, when are we going back to the Olive Tree in MD?

Then DL would not have had to ask the ignorant question he did about where my Metco pulleys came from.

And if he knew the answer, then his B.S. jumping on a thread to stir up trouble still makes him bad news.

What he says at the track seems to fit with Dougs mention of his internet hijinks not matching what he says in person.

Thanks for caring though,

Rocks

Your right...but that's OK...I have copied my original post and will repost it on a new thread if the trouble makers get this one closed.

You seem to be stirring the pot with comebacks that are off topic - did you ever think one of those "trouble makers" could be you?

I whole heartedly agree with the opening post and the one stated above. We need the tuners to make us safe tunes, develop new products, and answer our questions. There is nothing wrong with trying to do some things yourself, but you shouldn't promote it. It's like egging the tuners to chime and and cause an uproar.

I also agree that some things are way overpriced ! But everyone's argument to that will be that you "gotta pay to play"...yada yada yada. Competition should drive prices down, not up. I've seen parts prices increase steadily over the last few years...

So I guess I am caught between (and agree with) both arguments

I too as a new L owner and have been buying mods from many of the supporters I'd like to say everything has went smooth but it hasn't, the best person I have delt with by far is chikenears, you get what you order fast. As for some of the others, slow slow slow don't respond to e-mails.

I was over charged by a vender recently $100 for a $25 item I will admit they refunded a portion of the over charge but they still at least doubled their money, and they still list the item on their site at the same price. The next guy may not be as lucky as I to catch them. My trust level of this vendor is in the toilet.

My suggestion to all the venders is treat your customers right respond as fast as practicle to mail and don't try to rape us I will be loyal to those who do this or I'll give my bucks to someone else if you don't

I agree as well. I too am a new Lightning owner and the first thing I bought was from chikenears and the shipping is FAST. I will be in a month or so buying the FTVB from him as well because of the shipping being FAST...

i agree with the general theme of the thread and would just like to add another thing.

Special thanks to all the vendors that actually take their time to come onto the boards and provide clear and concise answers to questions people have. Someone mentioned Mike Troyer, who I personally appreciate a lot just because I've probably learned more from him than any other vendor. When vendors do that I always try my best to refer other people to them. At fordf150.net i send people Mike, Chickenears, and Gregg Evans as much as i can. They fall in the same catergory as Mike to me. So hats off to those individuals in particular from me.

Keep up the good work.

Boy...you two are a regular tag team. I really did not believe I was going to change yours or DL's opinions.

I have said my piece on the topic, so you two just do what ever you do best.

I probably won't be hitting WFC this year, but I have no problem discussing these threads in person with D.L. or you for that matter.

It may be more interesting than you planned on .
