What's the cheapest price for a ported blower?

What's the best price for a ported blower for a Lightning/Harley/Cobra?

A friend who has a CNC machine shop and builds racing engines for a living told me he could do one for $250.00 plus shipping. Is this a good price?

Thanks

He took a friends Embree ported blower apart and said, damn I can do that much cheaper. I am sure we would get the same results or better than anyone else's ported blower job. He tunes Turbo cars and Procharger vehicles for 10.5 outlaw cars. Quick turn around time, large shop .

Any good machine shop person can port a blower, Once you see one done, It's not that difficult to "magic " word, "Duplicate/Improve".

No, I'm sure it wouldn't look like Easterislands blower. This guy has more experience than Apten, Brian seems like a nice guy, but he isn't "Guru God" at porting blowers. How old is he? You guys are always looking for the best deal, as good or better quality....

I'm sure Brian will Chime in soon.
Brian (APTEN) is a certified Magnum Powers dealer, one of a handful throughout the USA.
He has been porting the smaller eaton (M90???) on the Ford Thunderbird (supercharged version mid-90's) for some time now and I'm confident he worked all the bugs out.

Also, it's tacky to attack supporting vendors, I'm not saying you are or intend to.

My Apten Eaton has been sitting in the box for a month and a half now, waiting for the weather to warm up to be re-installed.

I do have some experience, but not as much as Apten. I applied for a patent so don't even think about copying my mine.

DL copies, so what? He dosent copy designs and jack up the price. He was tired of seeing everyone pay too much for something. Now hes trying to help out by reporting that he knows someone that ports blowers cheaper. Just informative posts that help us lightning brothers save alittle money to put forth on more mods. JMHO

If only it were that simple.....sigh....

You see young buck it works this way. People spend alot of time and money to bring you a good product. Research and development is not cheap.

Folks like DL come along like a leach. To support folks that don't want to spend the time working on creating something for themselves, you are just hurting your chances for new developments.

Dl, if your "buddy" is so darned great, were was he before someone else spent the time to help us all out.

DL.......You Suck Dude.....

Now that is my humble opinion.
