Nitto question

Does anybody have, or could anybody get a side-by-side picture of an F1 and a nitto 555 DR? I'm trying to see how much wider the nitto is. Or if anybody has an actual measurement that is just as good.

I believe the F1 is 295 mm as compared to the Nitto's 305.
I base this on the tire size itself.

I have not run Nitto's yet, but hear from people in my area, that they are wider enough to stick out past the fender, and spray road "Schmegma" on the bed sides.

Nitto 555 DR is 12 inches wide, a little less than 2 inches wider than F1s

I just bought..(and received today) my Nitto 555r's for the rear and the 555 foir the front. As you are aware 555r's only come in 305s. The 555s only come in a 295. I haven't done a side by side comparison yet (my engine will be ready this Friday at which time the tires go on..) but I heard they do not stick out past the fender well.I may be wrong but I sure hope they dont!!!! The difference in the roll diameter between the 295s and 305s are less than .6cm. Good luck!!!

You are correct Don!

F1= 10.6 inches wide
555r = 12.0 inches wide

I like the goodyear site. It gives the F-1's a 9 out of 10 for traction Wonder if they actually stomped on the L when they gave it such high marks?

Probably not at the top but at the rear bottom. It will definitley go up and on the rear end of the fender or side of the bed.

Has anybody actually experienced problems with stuff getting kicked up by the nittos? I've never heard of anybody complaining, but maybe it's just assumed that it will happen.

I have been driving around on the Nitto's for over a year now. No problems here at all with anything being thrown against the lower panels. I personally think they fill the wheel well very nicely.
Here are a couple of rear views..
