No boost? this sucks!
No boost? this sucks!
Scenario:
in first gear at WOT, truck winds out to 5900rpm.
tranny finally shifts, slooooowwwwwlllllyyyy.
pedal still down, and autometer gauge reads just above zero boost- almost no acceleration.
This truck is no fun without boost. Please help me. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas with what is wrong?

Thanks for the offer but I don't even have a L yet. I just like hanging around in here and learning as much as I can. Thanks though.

funny you ask (or maybe not)
The whole thing started out when I did the boost bypass mod (as shown by a certain vendor's website). 2 days later, the scenario mentioned before happened. I drove the whole way home (about 10 miles) with no boost. I pulled in to a shop in my home town where the owner is very respected, and has a modded lightning himself. (reversed the boost bypass before I showed him). His diagnostic showed a faulty boost bypass selenoid.
The dealer being closed for the night, I went home, and called my tuner. He suggested maybe slipping tranny clutches, and firm up the line pressure. Instead, I had the sensor replaced, and added a FTVB with Moroso pan. First day of good weather for traction was today, and upon testing I am dealing with the same reaction, but with moderately quicker shifting.
Sorry for rambling, I'm really in need of some suggestions.
Thanks, "jonesin' for boost" Aaron

I just got out of the Army and started a new job. My wife gets the next vehicle cause we have a youngin' and probably another on the way soon. Anyways, I want to pay with cash, and I will be able to in about a year or 2. I can wait.
Don,
I've done this. this is what I did 2 days before my lightning stopped running great for the first time. Pardon me for wanting to solve the problem before I do this again.
My theory (correct me if I'm wrong) is that my truck ran strong before the boost bypass. Maybe it's a coincidence, but I feel like there must be something else wrong, and would like to get to the bottom of it.
On a side note- the well respected mechanic that agrees with me is someone you know as well.
