Question Ford GT, What's your dealer selling them for?

My local dealer said he is getting one Ford GT and is selling it for no less then $400 K. What are your dealers asking, not that I could buy one.. Maybe one day, If I hit the lottery...

It is doubtful that any dealers in AK will even get any. There is not much of a sports car market up here. D@mn long *** winters!

I have asked my buddy at the local SVT dealer I get my trucks from. He said sticker is supposed to be just under 150k, although that's not set in stone, as the cars aren't even in the Ford system yet. He said he's got two customers who have both already offered over 200k for one. You can't blame the dealers for marking these cars up. If the people are willing to pay it, that's what they will sell it for. Supply and demand. If the supply is low and the demand is high, the price is high. Ford is only making 1000 of these cars. If someone offered you 50k for your truck, you wouldn't say "sorry, it's not worth 50k, just give me 35k for it", you'd take the 50k .

My dealer said it would take somebody with a suitcase full of money to buy the one he is getting.

For the prices that these are going for-- you might as well buy the ferrari that is it competing against!

Dealer Markup

The only dealers authorized to order the GT need to qualify beforehand by winngin things like the"President's Award", etc. Luckily, the dealership I'm at just won it last week and the owner just ordered a red one for himself. Supposedly they're going to be sold for roughly $300k.

250-325 is the current going rate for most dealers. I hear production for year 1 is only around 800. Don't know if the balance of year 1 will be made up later or not.
