Angry Need help with spark plug install asap

I am in the middle of installing my spark plugs, and all is going well except the rear passanger side plug. I am taking it real easy with it and trying to get it to thread with my hand and 3 inch exstension. But for the life of me it is not going in nice and easy like the front 3 did. I do not want to strip it... any ideas or suggestions???? I am getting it hand tight but it is getting real tight from the start and just dosent feel right... dont want to put a socket on it and strip it.......

thanks for any and all suggestions

Doug

Doug,

I just replaced plugs on a 02 H/D today and had one that was like that. I put a few drops of motor oil on the threads to help it start. Worked for me. Won't hurt anything. Some might suggest anti-sieze.

Snap-on has the correct socket for the modular motors. It helps line the plug up. It's worth the $40.00. Let me know if you need the part number. Best of luck...

Dave.

plug

could be a little dirt in the plug hole try blowing in the hole if you have a compressor also you might use a little antisieze on the treads it should go about 3 or 4 turns to seat good luck

I had the same trouble with mine. I was scared to turn too hard and cross thread it. I just kept pulling it out, then jiggling it back down into the head and eventually the threads lined up correctly. Went on just as easy as the others.

Take your time with it. The angle on this one is tricky and invariably causes some trouble.
