When is the Superchips SCT tuner supposed to be released? Wonder if it there is any advantage to it over a Predator

I think the SCT is much better than a predator. With the SCT you can basically controll over most anything the pcm controls. I'll probably get one soon. They only cost around $800 and you can flash your pcm in a minute or so. If you have more than one car you can add them for ony $299 each.

 

Can give me examples of things the SCT controls that the predator doesn't? I thought that the predator could control everything a chip could. When you say 4 bank chip, what are the 4 banks referring to?

I like the predator so far, other than their lack of data logging software.

 

The SCT comes with a custom tune. You can modify that tune however you wish. You are the tuner. I think the predator only allows slight adjustments to the timing for examle. At least that is what I have got out of reading the modular depot website forum.

I didn't want to come across like a tuner couldn't send you a program for your predator and modify pretty much anything. It is just with the SCT that you can do it yourself. You modify it and you blow it it is your fault.

I think that makes the SCT a better tool, but I think that diablo could just update the predator software to do anything that the SCT does. I won't hold my breath for an update from diablo considering the amount of time it took for the L predator to come out.

There is a good THREAD over on modular fords about the software diablo promised to release with the predator. It's the "in 2 weeks" thing all over again.
