N.O.S. question.....

Hello all!

When I install my Nitrous Express kit next week, the inevitable question will be, where do I want to purge the nitrous. Where do you all purge? I have put on the Cervini's hood with the two side by side ram air ducts....if I purge out from there, will the nitrous effect the paint?. Also, the installer wants to know if I want the bottle heater. Is it worth the price to install? Any and all thoughts would be appreciated!

I don't know about your paint question.

but yes you probably do want a bottle heater for maximum performance and consistant performance from the nitrous.

good luck.

later,
chris

NOS

You can place the purge line outlet anywhere you feel comfortable. I placed my purge line between my head light and corner lens on the passenger side. As for the heater blanket, please get this unit for better performance usage of your NOS. This is worth the money. This blanket will keep your NOS bottle warm and increase your NOS psi to the optimum performance level or 900 psi -1100 psi. Good luck.

Does your hood look like this...if it does that would look cool to purge out the sides, thats what I want to eventually do with mine.

I agree with Chris, the bottle heater is a must do to run consistant, as the temp changes so does bottle pressure. I've seen alot of guys purge through the cowl, I would like to think it's so they can verify it's purged but there is a cool factor to it as well if your into that, as for paint issues not sure but I have seen it purged through hood vents before. Good Luck, Todd

Thanks guys. I will definitely invest in the heater. I didn't realize that you would run so inconsistent without one.

ND4Spd....my hood has the 2 side by cowl induction.Have you changed your platinum plugs yet? Hope so!

I guess I will continue to search re: paint vs nitrous.

Ciao
