I would like to see this in the light as well, but this shifting and in between gears thing you keep talking about has me baffled......BTW I can hear my KB whistle inside and outside while sitting still, and at WOT I don't care what kind of or lack of mufflers you have, you will hear it inside and so will everybody on the road. Just my 2 cents

Not if you have an enclosed air induction system. With the Volant, I can only just make out the blower whine at WOT with LTs, High-flow cats, and the Silver Bullet catback exhaust. That's inside the cab with the windows up. Outside, or with the windows down, it's even harder to hear the S/C. An open element cone filter set-up is much louder.

Ok I gotta admit I was a bit harsh. I went back and looked the video over pretty good a few times. YES the front facia matches as well as the Lightnings exhauast does sound louder than a stock one.

I don't understand why people race at a roll? I agree your exhaust hurts you. Racing is done from off the lights. Stomping the gas at a roll IMHO isn't racing. No skill involved when your already moving.

Get a video if you can racing off a light or a dead stop. The Dodge has the advantage with the 4:10's, stick and the extra 120hp.

We need the conformation on how well they hook on the street with those tires...Best of luck!

 

can anyone out there prove Leo has any type of mods other than a missing muffler? who gets a kenny bell and still has a chip with torque reduction? or is there a chip at all? (i.e no KB) need hard facts that he has a KB and it was a srt-10. my 02

 

I'm sorry for being harsh and sarcastic, also, wydopnthrtl. It's just a bit frustrating when a group of people will undoubtedly accept any media that supports their cause and pick apart any that goes against it.

 

With all of these replies, how many of you have KBs.......I know what mine sounds like and that one does not sound like a KB. Next why would you have an enclosed air element if you had a KB??????????

 

The video vehical is not a Lightning. I dont care how what the exhaust setup is, you'll still hear the blower whine in the cab at least. Also notice non-SVT guages in the cluster.

 

They look like SVT guages to me BTW I have actually met this guy in person..however I did not see his truck but him and a friend were at Gainesville a while back. As far as not being able to hear a KB I agree...I've never been in a KB truck but I know the eaton is pretty loud. All I can figure is the window being down along with the exhaust drowns out the blower whine?

 

I have a set of SS prototype off road exhaust pipes made with no cats and were bolted to a Magnaflow muffler. It was loud enough that I couldn't hear my blower at WOT with 3# lower pulley. I put the stock cat's back on with the magie still on and can hear the s/c again. K/B may be a different story. Don't know how loud that unit gets at WOT.

 

Why couldn't you see the electro-luminecent guages, and i dont recall any red lights in the guage cluster.

 

I clearly see the electro-luminecent guages...the red light appears to be a radar dectector.

 

if you can get me an indexed copy of the movie, I could post frame captures of the dash etc of the lightning...

The ASF file is not indexed so cant be imported to the tool I use...
