Well, if superfords is building his own engine, and wants to scrutinize over the little details, then he is gonna have a great engine when it is built.
That being said, I don't give a rats *** why other people do things for themselves. I do my own work cause when it comes to my vehicles. If the problem is something I KNOW I can fix, I will do it myself because most people won't take the time and have the attention to detail I do.
I have built lots of engines, and I always check all the clearances when building one up. I went to autozone the other day and asked for plastigauge. The pimple faced dip***** behind the counter looked at me like I had a second peter growing out of my forehead. I turned around and went to napa.
Good luck with that engine superfords. I know it will be done right

Personally, I like reading Chris' stories on his engine build. I feel bad when he has problems, but I like hearing how the build is going.
I met him last year at Cecil briefly... Though, I have to say, the engine build pics are great, but the autoshow pics were awesome.
:P

COME ON you big sissy !!!!! Slap that motor together and be done with it already.
If it's noisy...... tell everyone it has solid lifters
If it leaks........ JB weld it.
If it's slow...... blame it on your tuner

I can not speak for every one else, but as for my self I'm about opinionated as they come. I think the problem lies with accepting that you made a statement that everyone else here believes that was wrong. just apologize for making a rude and unfounded statement. and save what little bit of face you have here. the more you rant off the wall stuff just makes you sound worse.
