Im running into 3 BIG problems with the handle/pad.

1. Wires from pad to harness is to short. Didnt know this was going to be a problem. Someone sold me the expy handle.

2. I got the 5 ditgit code from under drivers seat, did a dry test and plugged it in and nothing. doesnt work!

3. any advice on the left side nut for the handle, besides all the write-ups? Cant get in off and I have the right tools. Is the yellow clip any different on the 00 compared to 01?

I just installed the keypad on my 2000L about a month ago.
First, roughly how long do you think the wires comming out of the pad are?
Mine were about 36 inches.
Also, the two clips that are wraped in the keypad wire harness, snap into two holes that are directly under the window channel (you cant see them, you have to feel for them)
After i poped the clips in, it was exactly long enough to reach
the connector.

The 5 digit # should be on a small white box looking object under the dash under the steering wheel. Stick your head down by the gas/brake pedals and look up.
At least thats where my 5 digit code was.

As for that one nut on the handle, I had a b!tch of time with it too. If you have large hands, your going to have trouble.
I used a few swivles and extensions, and finally managed to
get it off. I was able to get my hand in that tight area to
finger it off.
The yellow clip was kinda a pain too, again large hands = on he!! of a time to get it to unclip
I think i used a flat blade screwdriver to pry it open.
