Hey, not particularly a "lightning" question, but I'm hoping you guys will have a good answer.

I know the lightnings have the 4r100 tranny and you guys rebuild/upgrade them a lot.

My question is where is a good place to find a rebuilt tranny w/TC. This tranny I have may run for freakin ever I don't know. All I know is $2500 is not far off from new tranny. I saw a High performance somewhere here (I can't find the thread now) for 3K. So, knowing the experience here I was hoping to find out info for future reference if I've made a mistake. TIA.

There's a bunch of supporting vendors that sell them for him.

 

I believe gregg announced he was comming out with a newer tranny version or something.

that for 3kish, or you cna buy the monster in a box which is a rebuild kit. obviously you get the aprts and you rebuild yourself for 1700-2k

Ya, Gregs the man on these trannys. He teamed up with Jasper now so any Jasper dealer has them and can install it. It comes with a race converter (2400 stall?) as well. No one in the lightning community has overpowered one yet (some guys are putting down 650/750 to the wheels).
