traction bars install..???????

i orderd some of the slide a link bars made by Moroso, from REM....and i was thinking i was going to be able to install them myself! after opening the package and reading some of the directions i was like "no way" dropping the leaf springs, and all this mess...so i went to my local installed, who helped me with my other installs and said he didnt really know much about them, and to try a mustang shop down the road....well i found success with the Mustang shop, they said they can do it, but it will take all day...cahrgeing me $72 and hour...thats like $500!!! and i wanted to go to the track this weekend and get some new numbers, but now i dont think i can...i though traction bars were pretty easy to install....i guess the slide a link ones arent....maybe i should just return them for some slapper bars....any ideas???

I am living proof that the slappers do not work with high hp L's. They are great for the street and moderately moded L's, but I would not recommend them when you are in the 500 hp range. I am ordering the longer traction "rancho" style this week in hopes they will help my times as others have found.

Call REM and have Tim or Paul see if they have some contacts in your area, just my advice.
