Question Wararnty question??

Do all mods void a warranty, I bought my L used (16K) and it already had 6lb lower pulley, K&N, Boral cat back, 2000 stall, 4:11 gears and a superchip. But I bought the wararnty there from the dealer I think the warranty co. was something like C.A.R.S I'll have to look but is my warranty not even good because I already have mods on it.

When I got my used 01, I got the Ford ext. warranty from the dealer. The dealer knows about the mods that were removed, you can see marks from the upper pulley, the computer is clean (I think, never looked). So far, I have had no trouble, but I haven't tried to get a motor or any major work done.

Not trying to throw a wet blanket our your Lightning or decisions

I put zero faith in any warrenty. I just take the position that what I buy belongs to me 100% once I walk out the door. ULTRA few companies this day will actually *take care* of customers in this regard. *if* they actually come through and do deliver? I'm generally supprised and they have gained a faithfull customer in me.

Just my 2 cents (based on years of experience), Rich

waranty

If you have a waranty claim that involves the drivetrain engine trans etc. the waranty company will most likely send out an inspector even ford ESP plan does this, he has to report back any signs of abuse, neglect and yes even modifications to the waranty company they will then contact the dealer or you with there decision about fixing the vehicle or not. now lets do some country boy math: 1 they already have your money, 2 you or in this case somebody else modified the vehicle, 3 they don't make LARGE corp. profits by paying on every clame so they prob. won't pay if anything major goes. the best thing to do would be to cash in the waranty and eather save the money to fix it if it brakes or buy another mod
