Has anyone had a vac. leak they couldn't find??? I have one..its a high pitched squeal. It sounds like its coming from the drivers side, not sure though. You can't here it until you push or let off the gas, although it squeals steady if your running a bout 90mph. any thoughts? also my abs light has been on for a while too, but the abs still works.

 

Not shure about your vacume leak but i know that on my friends 99L his ABS light has been on since day 1 and is still on with 14,000 miles and the ABS works fine.

 

Ive did a search on this. i've found i'm not the only one with this problem, but i've yet to find an answer. Some people described it as "pressure bleeding off"

still not sure what i'm gonna do yet. I've been driveing my truck since that post and its been fine. It stopped making that noise and has been shifting normal. i know its only a matter of time, but i've been looking for a new beater. I sold my little mazda truck the week before it broke. i'm looking for a nice crx now. I know i'm gonna get a ftvb, but not to sure about the kit.
Maybe by the time it "really" breaks i'll have enough $$$ saved to do it right. Anyway, whats up with this squeal?? i've done searches all over and alot of people have this problem but still haven't found the answer.

 

When the kit is installed i'll let you know hows it feel and sent some info about the kit

 

 

Have you checked the tubing line to/from the boost gauge ? If you have been doing anything under the dash maybe it got kinked.. Maybe the boost bypass valve is leaking....Maybe I ain't helping...I do have a vacuum pump if you need one....
